Aaron Aby takes on Elias Garcia for inaugural Oktagon MMA flyweight title in Manchester main event

Aaron Aby is ready to put it all on the line when he collides with Elias Garcia in a monumental title fight at Oktagon MMA 48 in Manchester.

Born with Cystic Fibrosis, the battle towards championship glory started way before he ever set foot in the cage. Having been told he wouldn’t see out his teenage years, the future looked bleak for the Welshman. But in a testament to his remarkable heart and determination, he’s battled all the odds to become a professional fighter and a very good one at that.

Aaron Aby’s road to Oktagon MMA has been anything but easy

And if his mental determination needed any more challenges, he put his remarkable courage on full display as he battled through a stage three fight with testicular cancer, which developed into a large stomach tumour. Amazingly, he fully recovered from his illness to prove that he’s the type of human being that we should all aspire to be.

Representing North West Fight Academy, the flyweight can’t wait to show what he’s all about.

With a dangerous submission game and an unrivalled will to win, the gifted martial artist is capable of going toe-to-toe with the very best fighters on the planet. But he’ll have to be at his very best if he wants to claim Oktagon gold, as the man who’ll be standing across from him on fight night is undeniably one of the best in the business.

A veteran of the UFC, Elias Garcia has proven his skills in abundance, picking up multiple victories in Combate Global and going the distance with world-renowned Kai Kara-France.

And now he’ll fly to Europe for the first time in his career, in a bid to upset the home crowd and claim the belt for himself
