Anton Ferdinand is ready to make a huge impact for West Ham United when he plays in the soccer tournament with a movie legend.
The centre-back will captain ‘The Irons’ in a seven vs seven tournament, held in North Carolina, USA, featuring giants of the game, including Borussia Dortmund and Atlético Madrid, as well as content-led teams such as Hashtag United.

Anton Ferdinand had a crazy experience meeting Hero Fiennes Tiffin
With a $1M prize on the line, Anton Ferdinand and his team, featuring former stars Ricardo Vaz Tê, James Collins, and Mauro Zarate, will put it all on the line in order to secure the win. And one man who’s just as keen to impress as the ex-players is movie icon, Hero Fiennes Tiffin.
Ferdinand met the actor, who has starred in the After series as well as Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, and was blown away by just how much the club means to him.
In an exclusive interview with Sporf, he said: “Having people putting on a West Ham shirt, who understand why they’re wearing a West Ham shirt and the meaning behind the West Ham shirt, [is important], especially with Hero, who came to The Soccer Tournament the last time we played there.
“To see somebody who’s been in Harry Potter become like a little kid around some of his heroes was really good to see. That epitomizes what the club means to him. He was going, ‘I can’t believe it, this is one of the best days of my life’.
“I’m going, ‘By the way, you’re in one of the highest-grossing films in history, one of the most famous things you could ever be a part of’. He’s like, But Anton, it’s just West Ham, I’m actually getting to play on the pitch with players I grew up watching’.
“To see that happen and see the impact that the club that I love, support and played for, is really nice.”
West Ham begin their campaign later today in their opening group stage match against Brown Ballers FC.

Anton Ferdinand can’t wait to make West Ham content with Rio Ferdinand
After the soccer tournament is wrapped up, the defender will travel to New Jersey, where he will reunite with his brother Rio Ferdinand to watch an epic clash. And while they both love West Ham, it goes without saying that the pair would love nothing more than to claim the bragging rights for themselves.
He chuckled: “That brotherly rivalry is still there, and in the Premier League Summer Series, you’re gonna see that because we play Manchester United in New Jersey, and I believe he’s coming over to watch that game. Stay tuned through West Ham channels, because there will probably be something going out between me and him.
“He can say that he’s won more than me, he had an illustrious career, but what he can’t say is that he ever scored a goal against me, but I can say that. That picture is up in my house.”
