After a heated build-up, Chris Eubank Jr vs Liam Smith is finally here, and we’ve got all the details you need, including the UK start time.
On Saturday night, following years of animosity, the pair of fierce rivals will settle their differences once and for all.
Back in October, fight fans were rendered devastated when Connor Benn tested positive for a performance-enhancing substance, costing us an absolute monster fight. But while that contest had the allure of their father’s previous bouts, the match-up taking place at the Manchester Arena is of a significantly higher calibre.
Unlike Benn and even Eubank Jr, Smith has reached the pinnacle of the mountain, winning the WBO super welterweight title in 2015. And while he has fallen short against Canelo Alvarez and Jamie Munguia, he always brings the action.
However, there’s no doubt that Eubank Jr has gotten under his skin. ‘Next Gen’ has infuriated his nemesis, with his witty tongue and fashion choices. Smith was particularly bemused when the 33-year-old turned up to the press conference wearing a KFC jacket.
But despite his playful attitude, Eubank Jr, performs when it counts. In his last outing, under the tutelage of Roy Jones Jr, he picked up the best win of his career. The natural athlete looked polished and revitalised en route to dismantling Liam Williams. Therefore, this a fight that fans can’t afford to miss. And to make sure you don’t miss a second of the action, we’ve compiled all the information you need below.
