Darren Till says Mike Perry fight is very likely in BKFC

When it comes to entertainment, Darren Till and Mike Perry are bona fide combat sports icons, with the pair delivering fireworks each and every time they enter the cage or the ring.

Since a famous spar back in 2018, in which both men wore just one glove apiece, when the Englishman misheard his rival and turned up without his gear after thinking he was going for a spa session with his rival, the combat sports community has been desperate to see the superstars put it all on the line once and for all.

When asked during an exclusive interview with Sporf whether the contest will happen in BKFC, the power puncher, replied: “Yeah, I think so now I’m in his organisation. He’s the King of Violence, he’s beat everyone, he’s tagged as the King of Violence, and with good reason, he does bring the violence. So, I would love to just come into this, take his title and just wave him off into the abyss. I think now is the right time. I think at the end of this year or maybe at the start of next year, we can really get this fight done.”

Darren Till hated sparring Tom Aspinall

While removing the gloves and trading leather with bare fists is certainly a daunting prospect, Till is used to the brutality that comes with the fight game, having spent many a hard session exchanging shots with Tom Aspinall.

Looking back on their rounds in the gym, the Liverpudlian said: “Brutal. I used to dread every time I was coming in for sparring when I knew I was sparring with Tom, because I’d just know exactly what it was going to be. He punches hard, he’s quick, he’s got great wrestling, great jiu-jitsu, he’s slick — it was a nightmare. Sparring Tom was one of those things. We had years of it as well. He’s so fast for his weight; he used to match me for speed.”
