Dennis Bergkamp knew exactly how to hit the back of the net.

The gifted player, who was blessed with remarkable skills and astonishing creativity, had a knack for beating the goalkeeper. And with that in mind, we’re looking back at the top five goals of his incredible career.

5) Arsenal vs Sunderland

In big moments, Dennis Bergkamp delivered, once defining the magic of the FA Cup with a tremendous finish in January 1997.

The sportsman picked up the ball outside of the box, effortlessly navigated his way past the defense, before curling it around the goalkeeper.

4) Netherlands vs Argentina

Bergkamp didn’t just deliver for his various clubs, but for his national side as well.

In the quarter-final of the 1998 World Cup, the Dutchman produced something special for his country.

In the 90th minute against Argentina, Bergkamp showcased a marvellous first touch, before firing the ball into the back of the net to send Netherlands supporters into raptures.

3) Arsenal vs Leicester City

In 1997, Bergkamp scored not one but two incredible goals against Leicester City, with the second of which earning a bronze medal on this list.

When a through ball landed at his feet, he used incredible control with both feet to glide past the defender and find a shooting position, before converting with remarkable class.

2) Inter Milan vs Rapid Bucharest

In a UEFA Cup game against Rapid Bucharest for Inter Milan, Bergkamp rendered the fans stunned with an outrageous goal.

His second of three finishes was truly mesmerizing, with the gifted footballer leaping into the air and scoring with a tremendous bicycle kick.

Bergkamp has scored many a spectacular goal, but nothing compares to his epic Premier League strike against Newcastle United.

Robert Pires beautifully delivered the pass to the all-time great, who majestically scooped the ball around Nikos Dabizas and slotted past a helpless Shay Given.
