For the first 36 minutes, ‘The Gunners’ and ‘Die Werkself’ battled it out, with both sides looking for an all-important opener to break the deadlock.

Then, in a moment of magic, Eberechi Eze delivered something extremely special.

The gifted footballer controlled the ball with his back to goal, before thumping it into the top of the net, rendering Janis Blaswich nothing short of helpless.

Flabbergasted by the brilliance they’d just witnessed, the commentary team lost their minds.

Darren Fletcher screamed: “Pick that one out, a stunning strike from Eze. It took something special to beat Blaswich, and you’ve just seen it. A rocket from Eberechi Eze.”

Ally McCoist enthused: “That’s just absolutely ridiculous. He can strike a football. The goalkeeper dives, and it’s by him. That’s an incredible strike of the football. I haven’t seen a ball hit as hard as that in a long time. What a goal. The goalkeeper has no chance. What a hit.”

To make things even better for the Premier League giants, Declan Rice has since scored himself, almost certainly securing a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
