Erling Haaland’s hilarious reaction to qualifying from the World Cup’s ‘Group of Death

Erling Haaland’s post-match interview went viral following Norway’s 3-2 victory over Senegal in the World Cup.

The prolific forward, who was on the scoresheet with a brace, helped his side seal qualification from the group stages, and the Manchester City talisman was in a jubilant mood.

Reflecting on his side’s display against an, as yet, winless Senegalese outfit, and their subsequent qualification, Haaland said: ““Honestly, I don’t care much [about playing France next].

“We’re through, we managed to get through which is incredible, so I couldn’t care too much about that game now.”

“They’re probably going to win against us,” he joked.

“They’re probably going to win the whole tournament.”

Norway will have a chance to top Group I when they face Les Bleus on Friday if they can pick up a victory over the 2018 world champions.

France themselves have started their World Cup bid in fine form, matching Norway’s two wins so far, including a 3-0 triumph over Iraq in a rain-soaked Philadelphia; weather conditions that ensured the game was subject to a considerable delay.

Haaland, who is enjoying his first-ever World Cup, and his country’s first appearance at the tournament in 28 years, has already netted a tally of four goals, with only Lionel Messi scoring more, and France’s Kylian Mbappe also with four to his name.

In what was dubbed prior to the tournament as the “Group of Death” is now perfectly poised for a first vs second clash and an easier route in the knockout stages.
