Rumours have been rife about an upcoming return to WWE for Sasha Banks – and fans think they have found another indication that she is coming back to the company.
Banks, along with Naomi, were suspended by WWE after they walked out of the May 15 episode of Raw. They were stripped of their Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Neither Superstar has appeared in the company since, and except for a company statement, and another short statement read out by Michael Cole on the following SmackDown, WWE have made no other comment on Banks and Naomi.
Reports claim that both women had creative issues with WWE. They also had concerns about how their portrayal in the weeks after the May 15 episode of Raw.
They were also fearful that their tag titles would be devalued. That is because it was claimed that Banks and Naomi were due to embark on singles programmes against Raw Women’s Champion, Bianca Belair, and the then SmackDown Women’s Champion, Ronda Rousey. Both women were reportedly scheduled to lose those title matches.
Will Sasha Banks and Naomi be back in WWE?
Since Triple H replaced Vince McMahon as head of WWE creative, fans have been far more optimistic about a return for Banks and Naomi.
Triple H is close to both Superstars. And WrestlingNews reported on Monday evening that they had been told an agreement has been reached for them to return to the company.
Given the huge amount of rumours about both women over recent months, it is probably a case of ‘seeing it to believe it’ in terms of them making their returns. However, the latest updates are far more positive.
Fans spot potential sign that Sasha Banks is making WWE return
Since her WWE suspension, Banks has participated in a number of activities outside of wrestling.
She has had bookings for numerous conventions. One of which takes place in Chicago this weekend. Naomi will also appear at the event.
Last month, Fightful Select reported that ‘The Boss’ is charging $30,000 per appearance at conventions.
Banks was also due to participate in a celebrity Flag Football game at the home of NFL side Los Angeles Rams on Friday, August 5.
She was initially advertised for the event. However, in the latest promotional material, her name isn’t on the list of celebrities.
No confirmation about why this has happened has yet been given, and the post now appears to have been deleted. However, fans believe – and hope – this may be another sign that she is returning to WWE very soon.
