Fans think Trent Alexander-Arnold could make Manchester City move after interaction with Pep Guardiola

Pep Guardiola and Trent Alexander-Arnold caught the attention of the fans.

The pair of footballing geniuses were pictured having a conversation during tonight’s Round of 16 second leg Champions League showdown between Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Last week, Real Madrid dominated Manchester City, defeating the Premier League giants 3-0.

Unfortunately, while this evening went better for ‘The Cityzens’, they still succumbed to another defeat, with the Spanish side bagging a 2-1 victory, to win via a comprehensive aggregate of 5-1 to cruise into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

However, while City supporters certainly weren’t in great spirits during the match, Pep Guardiola was after he bumped into Trent Alexander-Arnold.

In an image uploaded to X by TNT Sports, the pair were captured on camera during half-time, having a seemingly joyous conversation.

The picture shows the manager wrapping his arm around the player, who’s smiling from ear to ear at whatever the Spaniard is saying to him.

Fans were quick to reply to the post with their opinions.

One said: “Maybe he’s trying to bring him to City,” while another added: “Bro has been trying to recruit him since he was at Liverpool.”
