FIFA 21 Team of the Season updates and how to vote?

Team of the Season is almost upon us on FIFA 21, with public voting for the community team opening last week.

It is one of the most eagerly anticipated promos of each year, and usually lasts for over a month.

Here’s what we know so far about the promo, including which teams we will see first and the players that may receive upgraded cards.

What is ‘Team of the Season’?

‘Team of the Season’ is a promo where players are given heavily upgraded cards to reflect real-life performances throughout the season.

They are released in the form of league or region-specific squads. This normally happens every Friday, although in past years EA have released an additional league during each week.

It is one of the biggest promos of the year, and normally lasts for over a month.

Which leagues are set to be released first?

The promo is set to kick off on Friday with the release of the Community and EFL Team of the Season squads.

The EFL squad is made up of the best-performing players from the Championship and Leagues One and Two.

Meanwhile, the Community squad is decided by, as the name suggests, a FIFA community vote.

Each squad will contain 15 items, a reduction from the 18 that we saw last year.

You can vote for your chosen 11 players via the EA website.

Which players are eligible to be voted for?

Although the vote itself is community-based, EA have drawn up a pre-determined list of players to vote from.

Only players who received one or fewer special cards throughout the entirety of FIFA 21 were eligible to be included on the list.
