Filip Jörgensen was left wanting the ground to swallow him up during Chelsea’s Champions League Round of 16 clash with PSG.
Last night, Antonín Kinský had two disastrous moments, resulting in the Czech being substituted after just 16 minutes. And tonight, the theme of goalkeeping blunders continued.
Filip Jörgensen made a massive mistake against PSG
This evening, Chelsea travelled to Parc des Princes for an epic clash, in which the London side pushed the reigning champions of Europe to its limits.
With the match balanced at 2-2, the Premier League side looked very much in the fixture until an outrageous error allowed the hosts to take the lead for a third time.
Filip Jörgensen made a horrendous mistake, passing the ball directly to an opposition player, which ultimately gave Vitinha an opportunity to put the ball over his head and into the back of the net.
The Finn, who’d played well up until that point, cost his side, which subsequently fell apart with PSG scoring two more goals, the last of which also likely should’ve been saved by the goalkeeper who got a hand to the ball.
Of course, fans were quick to head to social media to give their stance on the mistake.
One said: “This is one of the most pathetic goals I’ve ever seen Chelsea concede in a long time,” while another added: “Jorgensen was watching Kinsky highlights last night.”
A third wrote: “That is a gift from Filip Jorgensen.” A fourth said simply: “Terrible mistake.”
