Born with immense talent and an unrelenting will to win, the French sensation dazzled Bayern Munich supporters with his lightning pace and trickery on the ball.
Playing on the left side of the German club’s flank, he’d cut inside, regularly utilising his finishing prowess to render goalkeepers helpless. So, without further ado, let’s have a look at his best-ever finishes.
1) Franck Ribery vs Werder Bremen – 2007
After showcasing his mesmerising ability at Marseille, Ribery caught the eye of Bayern Munich, who splashed a whopping €25 million to bring him to the Allianz Arena. And it didn’t take the winger long to hit his stride.
In his debut performance, he stepped up to the penalty spot to take on Werder Bremen shot-stopper, Time Wiese. He looked the goalkeeper straight in the eyes, with a steely confidence far beyond his years, and chipped the ball straight down the middle to officially announce himself to his adoring fans.
4) Franck Ribery vs Chelsea – 2013
Ribery entered the UEFA European Supercup against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium with revenge on his mind. After all, the last time the two clubs had clashed, it was the London side that came away with the victory in the ‘Finale Dahoam’.

Proving why he’d just been voted Europe’s Footballer of the Year, the ‘Stern des Südens’ icon obliterated Petr Cech, with a powerful finish from 25-yards out. And to make matters worse for ‘The Blues’, he later bagged his spot-kick in a triumphant penalty shoot-out victory for his team.
3 Franck Ribery vs Eintracht Frankfurt – 2019
Having bagged a whopping nine Bundesliga titles and a Champions League trophy for good measure, Ribery had already achieved everything his heart desired. But in a testament to his adoration for his supporters, he wanted them one last moment to remember him by.
Exhibiting the silky footwork that became his trademark throughout his career, the legend danced past the Eintracht Frankfurt defence, before leaving the keeper in No man’s land.
2)Franck Ribery vs Eintracht Frankfurt – 2016
It seems Ribery made a habit of scoring ridiculous goals against Eintracht Frankfurt. During a fixture in 2016, the Boulogne-sur-Mer native, utilised his predatory instincts to pounce on a clearance from Lukas Hradecky.
Jumping into the air like a seasoned trampoliner, he connected with maximum velocity, smashing home an outrageous bicycle kick, to send his fans into raptures.
1) Franck Ribery vs Borussia Mönchengladbach – 2013
When Ribey’s back was against the wall, he always found a way to pull through. In a hotly-contested fixture against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayern found themselves 3-2 down. But rather than concede defeat, the side’s star man never gave up hope. With the clock ticking away, the Frenchman knew he had the minerals to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
Placing himself in the perfect position for a cross by Phillip Lahm, Ribery detonated an unbelievable shot, with laser-like precision that flew into the back of the net. And to further rub salt into the wounds of ‘The Foals, ‘ he later set up Arien Robben for the winner.
