Gary Pallister reveals whether Arsenal can win the Premier League

While it may pain the Manchester United legend to admit, Gary Pallister believes Arsenal have a very good chance of winning the Premier League.

After narrowly missing out on a place in the Champions League last season, ‘The Gunners’ have bounced back with a vengeance. The North-London team currently sit atop the table with no obvious signs of slowing down. And consequently, Pallister thinks that the manager deserves enormous credit.

In an interview with MrCasinova.com, the Old Trafford icon confessed: “Arsenal is pulling up trees at the moment. What an incredible job [Mikel] Arteta has done there. [Gabriel] Jesus is out for a while for Arsenal, so I think that’s a big impact for them – I think he’s been unbelievable and made a real difference to that Arsenal side, but they’ve obviously lost him for a few weeks.”

Does Gary Pallister think Arsenal can go all the way?

While the 57-year-old didn’t initially think Arteta’s men could pull it off, after watching them perform, he believes the side can ride their momentum all the way to the end.

Pallister admitted: “I didn’t think that they could, even when they started like that, but they’ve got a good five-point buffer now. They’re playing a brand of football which is exciting. Obviously, Arteta is following in the footsteps of Guardiola from his time with him at Man City, and trying to mirror image that, and it’s working at the moment.”

He continued: “Have they got a squad that’s deep enough to be able to handle injuries to people like Jesus? I’m not so sure. But their brand of football is exciting, and Arteta is proving himself, even after people wanted him out of Arsenal a year ago, but now he’s being lauded as a hero – that’s how swiftly football can change. Anyone who wants to play a brand of football that he brings, that’s the entertainment that football is all about, and he’s providing that with this Arsenal team.”
