Hulk Hogan net worth: How much is the wrestling legend worth?

Terry Gene Bollea, better known as Hulk Hogan, is one of the most recognizable figures in wrestling history – with a net worth to match his enormous fame.

The Hulkster’s illustrious career includes six WWF championships and six WCW championships. His early career path as the all-American hero cemented Hogan as the face of wrestling in the 1980s and early 1990s.

However, his shocking-yet-savvy decision to turn villain as a member of nWo in the WCW kept Hulk Hogan at the top of the game for even longer.

Numerous comebacks, including a return to his iconic yellow-and-red, bandana-wearing outfit, cement the Hall-of-Famer as one of the most iconic sports entertainers about.

Hulk Hogan’s wrestling earnings

The majority of Hulk Hogan’s net worth has come from his wrestling, unsurprisingly. With a career that has spanned over four decades on-and-off, it comes as no shock that Hogan has earned a lot.

In his own autobiography, Hulk Hogan claims that he was making around $10 million per year at his peak in the late 1980s. However, this has not been confirmed by anyone in the WWE. His status as wrestling’s biggest star does suggest that Mr. America could merit such an outlandish wage.

Unfortunately, Hogan also apparently spent millions on a luxury lifestyle during the 1990s, denting his total net worth.

Other ventures

Away from the ring, Hulk Hogan kept himself busy. He tried his hand at acting, earning $15,000 for a role in ‘Rocky III’. Other attempts at breaking into the Hollywood world include ‘No Holds Barred’ and ‘Suburban Commando.’

Furthermore, Hogan had a short-lived foray into the small screen with his reality TV show ‘Hogan Knows Best.’ Following Hulk and his family in their daily lives, the show ran for four seasons on different TV channels.

The Hulkster has attempted to enter the business world, with mixed success. For instance, he opened a restaurant called ‘Pastamania’ in 1995. Sadly, the business closed after less than a year.

In similar misfortune, Hogan missed out on an endorsement deal that could have skyrocketed his net worth. He lost out on a gig to advertise a cooking grill, as he reportedly missed their phone call. Instead, the grill gig was given to George Foreman – forging the partnership of the very famous George Foreman Grill.

This title endorsement has earned the boxing legend around $200 million dollars – which could have been Hogan’s.

Merchandise and products under the ‘Hulk Hogan’ brand have softened the blow. In addition, he created his own energy drink called ‘Hogan Energy’ alongside imaginatively named frozen burgers called ‘Hulkster Burgers.’

Hulk Hogan’s net worth

According to Celebrity net worth, Hulksters’s net worth ultimately stands at an impressive $25 million. However, incidents in his personal life have caused significant changes in the net worth of Hulk Hogan.

Hulk’s 2007 divorce from his first wife, Linda, cost him a significant chunk of his then personal fortune. She filed for divorce as a result of the WWE icon’s reported infidelity.

The divorce saw Hulk give up 70% of the couple’s combined assets, as well $3 million to cover property disputes. Linda also claimed a large chunk of ownership in the Hulkster’s business ventures.

In contrast, invasion of Hogan’s personal life resulted in a significant financial reward. He won a settlement of $31 million from website Gawker in 2020, after they leaked a tape of the WWE legend sleeping with his best friend’s wife.

A judge initially awarded Hogan a compensation package of $110 million, however this was settled at a much lower figure.
