Football fans believe there’s only one option for Real Madrid due to the club’s sub-par performance against Bayern Munich.

The Spanish giants have failed to set the world alight in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

Fans want Real Madrid to sack Álvaro Arbeloa

Real Madrid is undoubtedly one of the biggest clubs in world football. However, with the side currently several points adrift from Barcelona in La Liga and staring a Champions League exit in the face, the fans have had enough.

Despite having home advantage tonight against the Bundesliga leaders, it wasn’t enough to fend off their rivals.

In the 41st minute, Luis Díaz beat the goalkeeper to give his club the lead, before Harry Kane struck gold right after half-time.

While Kylian Mbappe managed to pull one back, it wasn’t enough for ‘Los Blancos’, who will head to the Allianz Stadium, with the almighty task of pulling off a miracle to make it to the semi-final of the biggest competition in club football.

Fans believe the manager is to blame for the performance, with many taking to social media throughout the game to voice their concerns.

One said: “Real Madrid players are so relaxed despite the score-line. Álvaro Arbeloa can’t manage these boys; he should get out. I don’t recognise Madrid anymore they used to be formidable.”

Another added: “What formation are Real Madrid playing here? They’re getting absolutely battered by Bayern. Arbeloa will not be their manager at the end of this season.

A third wrote: “I’d sack Arbeloa for keeping this Álvaro Carreras performance on for 90 minutes, can’t lie.”
