‘I have to favour Darren Till’… Viddal Riley explains why Carl Froch is in serious trouble

EXCLUSIVE: Viddal Riley believes Carl Froch could be in for a rude awakening if he fights Darren Till.

‘The Gorilla’ and ‘The Cobra’ have developed quite a rivalry, with fans keen to watch the combat sports stars battle it out inside the ring.

Viddal Riley thinks Darren Till has been too active for Carl Froch

Carl Froch has achieved an enormous amount in his career, from winning multiple world titles to knocking out George Groves in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.

However, despite carving out a tremendous legacy, Viddal Riley fears the Hall of Famer has been retired too long to overcome Darren Till.

In an exclusive interview with Sporf, the British cruiserweight champion explained: “Obviously, Carl Froch has been inactive. We can’t speak on what he can do, but we’re seeing Darren Till, who’s active and confident, doing what he needs to do, so it’s hard to say. But you’d have to lean towards Darren, because he has been fighting. We know Carl Froch stays in shape, but it’s different from actively fighting.”

Viddal Riley opens up about BRAVE CF 100

Last week, Riley flew out to Bahrain to catch the historic BRAVE CF 100 card, where Muhammad Mokaev dazzled fans with an epic KO against Gerard Burns. During his time in the Middle East, he had the opportunity to gain fascinating insight into how the promotion has changed the game.

The 28-year-old enthused: “I had a chance to sit down with the president, Mohammad Shahid. He was explaining his vision for how he runs his business. We’re used to companies being run by ticket sales and networks, but he just puts on a pure event for his people. Everybody is having a great time. The atmosphere is excellent. People are passionate about MMA out here. When I did the Fan Expo, I was asking, ‘Boxing or MMA’? Everyone said, ‘MMA’. I’m enjoying Bahrain. Big up Bahrain.”
