Idris Elba wants three Arsenal superstars to join his Baller League team

EXCLUSIVE: Idris Elba would love to bolster his Baller League club with three Arsenal icons.

The movie star has founded Rukkas FC alongside Dean Forbes, with the pair determined to do whatever it takes to finally win their first match of the season.

Idris Elba wants Thierry Henry and two other Arsenal stars in his Baller League team

Currently, despite some good performances on the field, Idris Elba’s side sits at the bottom of the Baller League table.

During an exclusive interview with Sporf, we asked the Arsenal fan if there are any players in his beloved team he’d love to see join Rukkas FC.

He responded: “Eberechi Eze, because I gave him the golden touch. I did an interview with him, and he scored three. Obviously, Bukayo Saka too, because he’s my guy. Listen, that team right there is invincible. I don’t want to spoil it for them, but they’re amazing, the whole squad.”

When asked the same question, Dean Forbes opted to go down the legends route.

He laughed: “Thierry Henry. Imagine we could get Thierry down here. We might have to make that call, Idris.”

Elba responded: “I’ll call anyone. Thierry, I need you.”

Idris Elba says he used to play like Patrick Viera

While Elba never competed as a professional footballer himself, he has a burning passion for the sport he just can’t kick. Prior to starring in shows like ‘The Wire’, the Brit was playing with his friends, with his style apparently very similar to that of one of the greatest talents to have ever graced the Premier League.

The 53-year-old claimed: “I’m a midfielder, I like to say I play a bit like Patrick Vieira. That’s how I imagine I used to play. I hang back, I’m skilful, and I can see the pings.”
