You don’t have to be a diehard wrestling fan to appreciate a great RKO from Randy Orton.
The Viper has been hitting folks with that move for almost 20 years and we still love it. The idea is that he can hit it from absolutely nowhere and, well, it’s hard to deny that.
“Outta nowhere from Randy Orton!”
Recently, as Orton’s legendary WWE run goes on, fans have been reminiscing about some of his best RKOs from over the years – and they’ve been doing so through a now-viral Twitter thread.
This doesn’t include worldies like the Evan Bourne, Seth Rollins and Rob Van Dam efforts, which just goes to show how unbelievably stacked this chap’s RKO CV is.
The scary thing, ultimately, is that he’s probably got a whole lot more left in the tank.

Orton is currently embroiled in an incredibly personal rivalry with ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt. After seemingly burning him alive, Randy will now have to deal with a showdown against him at WrestleMania.
That whole sentence may seem a bit bizarre to casuals but, you know, that’s wrestling for you.
This thread took us on a trip down memory lane but it also got us thinking: what is the best WWE finisher of all time?
There’s an argument to be made that the RKO is in the top three and we’re on board with that. If it was up to us, the only other mainstream finishers that could come close are The Stunner and Sweet Chin Music.
The Stunner is just a classic because Stone Cold Steve Austin is Stone Cold Steve Auston. On the flip side you’ve got SCM which has the same sort of trait as the RKO. Shawn Michaels can hit it from just about anywhere, and it regularly caught us off guard.
