Many fans are noting that Jordan Pickford’s statistics since the start of the year have proven his status as an elite goalkeeper.

The Everton star had a tough first half of the campaign with the Toffees but once we hit 2021, everything seemed to change. As a club, Everton wasn’t quite able to live up to their early season expectations, but Pickford clearly made a conscious choice to up his game at every available opportunity.

In addition to his strong showings in the group and knockout stages of Euro 2020, he also made two vital saves in the final penalty shootout against Italy. While the Three Lions didn’t manage to lift the trophy, we saw several players raise their stock significantly – including Pickford.
