With Manchester United desperately struggling in front of goal, Lee Sharpe has claimed that Ollie Watkins could be the answer to all their problems.
Since Sir Alex Ferguson departed in 2013, the formerly great club have spiralled down the footballing pyramid, with little chance of a return flight on the horizon.
Over the last decade, several managers have attempted to work their magic at Old Trafford, with the likes of Jose Mourinho and David Moyes falling far short of the standard expected. After bringing in Erik ten Hag last season, prospects looked a little brighter. But sadly, throughout the 2023/24 campaign thus far, things have gone from bad to worse, with the team looking anything but clinical. Astonishingly, as per Offers.Bet, the club currently stands in 19th place on the chance conversation table.
However, Sharpe claims that securing the services of Aston Villa striker, Watkins, could be the necessary ingredient to turn the side’s fortunes around.

In an interview with Offers.Bet, he said: “I’m always surprised that most clubs only ever have one centre forward. When United won the treble they had four centre forwards. I think because they play three up top now with only one centre-forward, it makes it a lot more difficult to have a squad with a few centre-forwards in it, but I think Ollie Watkins would be great at United. He has great vision, great feet, can bring people into play and can score goals. I think he’d relish playing on the big stage.”
