Joe Hendry wants to write another song about Drew McIntyre

While Joe Hendry is a gifted competitor inside the ring, he’s equally talented with a guitar in his hands, with the Scotsman regularly entertaining the WWE Universe with his inventive songs.

And of course, his catchy tune about kicking ‘The Maverick’ out of the company has somewhat gotten under the American’s skin.

Hendry chuckled: “Obviously, Logan Paul hates my guts. I’m always here to make fun of him. That is the most popular song thus far. It’s been fun to watch the reaction to that song from the fans.”

If it’s any consolation prize to the YouTube sensation, he’s not the only one who’s had the misfortune of having to listen to the vicious lyrics that have come out of Hendry’s mouth, with the former NXT champion now intending to tear apart his own countryman.

Hendry exclaimed: “There are so many people in the company that I’d like to work with. One of the most popular songs was the one I did for Drew McIntyre. Maybe one day, we might need to revisit that. Two Scots wrestling in the WWE would be pretty cool.”

Joe Hendry campaigns for collaboration with Weezer

Having played live since the age of 14, Hendry has a passion for music, which has become a core part of his wrestling identity.

His ring walk song has captured the hearts of fans around the globe, with each and every single member of the WWE Universe eagerly awaiting for him to appear as soon as his music blasts out of the speakers.

And with the 38-year-old having proven his skills on the guitar beyond doubt, he is pushing for a collaboration with Weezer.

Hendry beamed: “I’m lucky that I’ve been able to chat with some bands that I’ve really looked up to, but for me, Weezer would be the dream collaborator. That’s my favourite band. It would be a lot of fun. I think, brand-wise, it would be a good fit, and I’d fit in on stage with them with my blue shirt and white jeans. So, I’d love to play backup rhythm guitar for them for one song one day or support them on tour – that would be the dream.”
