Cristiano Ronaldo is now being linked with a possible move to Manchester City – and it’s safe to say Manchester United fans aren’t happy about it.
While CR7 may have started his professional career under the Sporting Lisbon umbrella, he really found his feet during his years at Old Trafford. From stunning goals to endless trophy wins it was a real haven of joy for the Portuguese sensation before he eventually moved on to Real Madrid and Juventus.
SIr Alex Ferguson saw something in Ronaldo from an early age and, eventually, managed to help transform him into one of the greatest footballers of all time.
Now the Independent have linked him with a move back to Manchester.
Would Ronaldo actually do it?
His future has been a source of great speculation in recent months with some wondering whether or not he’d leave Juve in favour of aligning with Lionel Messi and Neymar at PSG. Now, however, it appears as if he could be in line for a stunning return to the Premier League – but not with United.
The club’s local rivals Manchester City are gearing up to make a move for the 36-year-old and as you can probably tell from the following reactions, it hasn’t gone down all too well with the Red Devils’ fanbase.

That will be football dead to me!! Extortionate transfers, wages & agent fees ruining the fabric of the game and bankrupting clubs, coupled by ESL attempt (that’s very much still alive). Give me the old game back, of rivalry and loyalty. ?

I'd still respect him more than I do messi, ones gone to France to retire, one is prepared to put his legacy on the line to test himself even more, all to be classed as the goat.

I don't wanna see him in a city shirt but at least he isn't going to just stat pad somewhere.
I'd hope that He would never dream of going to City or Liverpool. Sir Alex would be livid…could he live with that after all he's said in the past?

My favourite player of all time to one of my least.

Loyalty and respect to where you were made are key and crucial to cementing a legacy.
Messi didn’t move to Real Madrid
The only way my relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo would change is that he chooses to go to Man City despite Man Utd trying to sign him. If Man Utd doesn't want him, then Man Utd fans have no reason whatsoever to demand him to not sign for City.

Either way, the focus for the club needs to be on the pitch instead of off it as they prepare to take on Wolves at Molineux this Sunday.
