Mike Tyson makes big Mayweather claim ahead of Logan Paul fight

Mike Tyson believes that Floyd Mayweather is still better than any current active boxer.

Mayweather, 44, is set to compete in an exhibition bout against Logan Paul next month. Tyson himself recently took part in his own showdown with Roy Jones Jr.

Mayweather retired from professional boxing with an unbeaten 50-0 record, leading many to believe that he’s one of the greatest boxers of all time.

During a recent episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, the former heavyweight champion had nothing but praise for ‘Money’ Mayweather.

“Listen, Floyd’s a better fighter than all of those guys right now,” Tyson claimed. “Floyd right now, even though he’s 40-something, he’s still better than all the fighters now and he’s still fighting a YouTuber.

“And making more money than the champions are making.”

Tyson went on to speak about why he thinks the Paul brothers are enjoying so much success right now.

“These guys make boxing so awesome,” he said. “The boxers, the real champions, they don’t have that many views.

“They’ll be happy if they have a million views. These guys are 80million views. I was like, ‘God damn, man. How do you do that?’

“That’s why everybody wants to kill them, because they see this little white guy, blonde hair, blue eyes, getting all the f***ing money, talking all this s***.

“Everybody wants to kill them. I get envious when I see these guys, I’m like, ‘What the f*** are they doing?’

“That’s why you want to kick his ass because you get envious of them, it’s easy to hate these guys.”

Whether you love or hate the idea, there’s no doubt there’ll be insane numbers tuning in to see Floyd Mayweather battle Logan Paul on June 6 in Miami.
