MMA legend Don Frye attacked a fan in the crowd at UFC 270

UFC 270 was once again a treat for MMA fans across the world on Saturday night.

Francis Ngannou further stamped his authority on the heavyweight division, defeating Ciryl Gane via unanimous decision.

Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo had a great bout to decide the flyweight champion. Figueiredo ultimately came out on top in a unanimous decision to reclaim the belt.

Bantamweight Said Nurmagodemov treated a sell-out crowd to a stunning submission victory. His first-round stoppage earned the Russian the Performance of the Night award.

In addition to the action in the octagon, an MMA star of yesteryear, Don Frye, was giving out punches in the audience.

UFC Hall of Famer in attendance

MMA legend Don Frye was present for UFC 270, watching the sport in which he was a pioneer.

Frye competed in some of the earliest UFC tournaments. Amazingly, he fought three times in one night at both UFC 8 and 10. A wrestler in college, Frye was dominant in the ground game and forced submissions in a number of his victories.

However, you shouldn’t underestimate his striking power. He took seven of his 20 career victories via TKO, a testament to the unbelievable power of The Predator.

Frye was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2016 as a pioneer of the sport, cementing his legacy as an absolute MMA legend.

Despite his reputation as an icon, he may find himself in trouble after an altercation in the crowd at UFC270.

All of a sudden, Don Frye attacks angrily. He throws a swift jab at the audience member’s face. It seems that Frye threw the only punch in the altercation. As he walks back to his seat, he shouts at the crowd while clearly annoyed.

Unfortunately, no one knows how or why this situation came about. But, what we do know is that the punch from an MMA legend must have hurt.
