Playoff season is almost upon us in the NBA and, to mark the occasion, NBA 2K26 is rolling out season 6 to allow players to achieve their ‘final form’.
Launching this Friday (3rd April), season 6 is laser focused on the postseason. New York Knicks’ six-time All Star Karl-Anthony Towns, fresh off a triple-double against the Memphis Grizzlies, headlines the new anime-heavy season.
Anime-themed content lights up MyCAREER, MyTEAM and The W, where players can chase all-new weekly and seasonal rewards, as the WNBA preps for their upcoming season.
NBA 2K26 delivers anime and the return of an icon
In season 6, MyCAREER allows players to write their own storybook ending on the road to a championship. Heroic and futuristic rewards are available, including a Level 19 ‘The Raptor’ – Toronto Raptors Mascot, Level 29 Orange Anime Hair, Level 39 Cyborg Mods, and more.
MyTEAM, meanwhile, will feature hand-drawn anime art for its featured cards. Rewards start with a Level 1 Pink Diamond Ja Morant (Evo to 99 OVR) and culminate to a Level 40 100 OVR Shaquille O’Neal. Other highlights include a Level 28 Dark Matter Mike D’Antoni Coach Card, Level 30 Dark Matter Dennis Rodman, and a Level 35 100 OVR Lisa Leslie.
Perhaps most excitingly, though, is the return of the iconic Old Town Park, from NBA 2K16. A decade on from its introduction to the franchise, the Park is back and allowing players to compete under the glow of neon rollercoasters and an urban backdrop to establish their turf and take down the Park MVP.
The Pro Pass in season 6 unlocks 40 additional levels of premium content for players, too. Automatic rewards include a Cyber Jacket + Sweats, Dark Matter Rui Hachimura, and a Court Commander Operator.

Premium highlights include the Animated Turtle Backpack at Level 6, Animated Hockey Jersey at Level 9, and a 100 OVR Shaquille O’Neal card at Level 40.
Hoop to some new beats
As always, NBA 2K have got beats covered for the new season. The world premiere of New York DJ Austin Millz and Jake the Snake’s ’Impossible’, featuring British singer-songwriter Hope Tala, drops in the new season, as part of a playlist specially curated by Beach Noise, a production trio recognised within the industry for their work in hip-hop.
The new additions scoring season 6 will be available on Spotify and Apple Music, with songs from artists like Fred again, Baby Keem, Eem Triplin, Dominic Fike, Daddex, Louis The Child, Jake the Snake, and more.
With this season’s play-in tournament tipping off on 14th April and the playoffs beginning just four days after that, players have a couple of weeks to lock in on NBA 2K26 season 6.
