We’re a sucker for just about anything vintage-inspired when it comes to modern sportswear, so naturally, the brand new Dynamo Kyiv shirts are well and truly up our street.
A modern interpretation of 90s sporting apparel, both strips feature standout prints which veer very much on the right side of garish.
Inspiration behind the shirts comes from the club’s vastly successful past decade, which has seen them win eight UPL trophies and five Ukrainian Cups.
Both are incredibly solid creations, though the white away shirt in particular deserves the plaudits.
New Balance Football general manager Kenny McCallum says: “New Balance wanted to celebrate the golden era of FC Dynamo Kyiv by combining the traditional heritage with so-called streetwear inspired by 1990s. Thus we’ve created exclusive home and away kit that look modern, but are deeply connected to the history of the club and the city”.
FC Dynamo Kyiv captain Serhiy Sydorchuk has stated: “It’s always a great honour for us to represent Dynamo and these moments get even more special when the kit has great design. I’m really looking forward to fans’ reaction when they see it”.
Both shirts will officially go on sale from June 30.
