Richarlison admits that he’s not sure “what the future holds”

Everton star Richarlison has admitted that he’s not sure what the future holds for him as speculation mounts regarding his next move.

“Will he stay or will he go” is a question that’s frequently asked by football fans when referencing one of their favourite, or most important, players. The money-centric nature of the transfer market often ensures that if a bigger club than yours comes in with a decent enough bid for the “star attraction”, it’ll more than likely be accepted.

Richarlison has been fairly hot and cold at times during his stay at Goodison Park but when he’s on top form there are few players better in the Premier League. The 24-year-old, who has become a regular feature for his national team as well as the Toffees, has been linked with a move to a parade of top European sides in the last few transfer windows including Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

The query every fan fears

During a recent interview with Ole, Richarlison himself commented on the rumours and what the next step may be for him in his career.

“I’m always very careful when I talk about it. I have great affection for the people of Everton and for the club, who received me so well from the first day I arrived.

“I don’t know what the future holds. If one day I have to go, it must be good for me, but also for the club.

“But if I stay, I will continue giving my life for this shirt and for the fans, who have always supported me and were with me at all times.

“I have enormous gratitude and feel at home when I am at Finch Farm training ground or Goodison Park stadium.”

For now, the focus will solely be on this weekend as Everton prepare to face Manchester United in the early kick-off on Saturday.
