Sky Sports announce exclusive Bundesliga match coverage starting this season

Sky Sports have announced that they will be showing Bundesliga in the UK after gaining exclusive rights for the next four seasons, in what is a piece of superb news for football fans.

Indeed, those in the UK will be able to watch the likes of Erling Haaland, Alphonso Davies, Jude Bellingham and Robert Lewandowski from home.

The coverage is starting next Friday, August 13, with Bayern Munich, the German champions, going to Borussia Monchengladbach. Afer Sky Sports will be showing Haaland’s Borussia Dortmund when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday at 5:30pm.

The TV company say they have also acquired rights to the German Super Cup, giving the UK a full scoop of German football over the next four years at least.

“This new four-year agreement adds to our football offering in the UK & Ireland which already includes Premier League, EFL, Scottish Premiership and FA Women’s Super League as well as international action in the form of World Cup Qualifiers, placing Sky Sports as the home of live football.”

Bundesliga International CEO Robert Klein, meanwhile, added: “This is a partnership that will deliver the best of the Bundesliga week-in, week-out, through world-class production and multi-platform coverage, from a broadcaster with a long history of creating a fantastic viewing experience.
