Ahead of PSG vs Liverpool, Steven Gerrard has opened up about which team he thinks will win the Champions League. And it’s not the side many would’ve expected him to pick.
Having famously won the competition in Istanbul back in 2005, the former player undeniably knows a thing or two about what it takes to emerge victorious in the biggest competition in club football.

PSG and Liverpool are about to go head-to-head in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash at the Parc des Princes.
Of course, football legend, Steven Gerrard, will be watching, hoping that his beloved club can overcome the reigning champions and book itself a place in the final four of the tournament.

However, earlier in the season, he confidently claimed that the Ligue 1 leaders would go all the way. And when asked during last night’s broadcast on TNT Sports whether he still expects the French club to go back-to-back, he responded in the affirmative, surprisingly opting against ‘The Reds’.
He explained: “Listen, I think if Liverpool were on top form, and they were the best version of themselves, I would probably be slightly biased towards Liverpool, but I’m not going to change my mind, I still do fancy PSG to go all the way, and I do think the winner will come from this side of the draw.”

With such a tough task ahead tonight, the Premier League club could do with a prime Gerrard to help them advance to the semi-finals.
Throughout his career, the all-time great earned the respect of his fellow players, pundits, and even the officials.
