Tommy Fury: Five opponents for ‘TNT’ after victory over KSI

After bagging a huge victory against KSI, Tommy Fury has the world at his feet, but who will he get in the ring with next?

On Saturday evening, the brother of the WBC heavyweight King went toe-to-toe with the biggest YouTuber in the UK and came out on top. Following a rocky opener in which he took a vicious right hand and a second, which saw him lose a point for landing a shot behind the head, he managed to compose himself and fight his way back into the contest.

And while he didn’t make the statement performance he promised, through grit and determination, he started to land his own power shots, en route to picking up a majority decision victory.

Consequently, having now beaten the two biggest names in the world of influencer boxing, he’s the man in control of the scene. Therefore, we’ve compiled a list of the five potential opponents he’s most likely to select to fight next.

1) KSI

While Fury picked up the victory, KSI certainly wasn’t happy. In the post-fight interview, ‘The Nightmare’ screamed robbery to a loud chorus of boos at the AO Arena in Manchester. But while the fans inside the venue thought the ex-Love Islander had won comfortably, it seems those in the influencer scene favoured the work of the YouTuber.

Over the course of the six rounds, Fury managed to get his head around his opponent’s star jumping style, but from what happened in the early portion of the bout, KSI believes he has what it takes to change the result.

With the beef definitely unsettled, there’s every chance we’ll see these bitter rivals back in the ring for another mammoth event in the not too distant future.

2) Jake Paul

Utilising his snappy jab and slick footwork, Fury boxed his way to a decision over Jake Paul. However, following a victory over Nate Diaz, ‘The Problem Child’ is desperate for redemption.

And it seems the Brit is more than happy to oblige. However, this time around, the ball is in his court.

3) Logan Paul

In a display of ‘Big Brother Syndrome’, Logan Paul would love to do what Jake couldn’t. And with size and athleticism on his side, there’s reason to believe he’d be capable of avenging his sibling’s defeat.

However, following his uninspiring performance against Dillion Danis, the bookies would likely back Fury to win via a comfortable margin.

4) Idris Virgo

In a battle of the Love Islanders, a bout between Fury and Idris Virgo makes a lot of sense. Of all the fighters on the scene, the pair of reality TV stars are the only two with any real boxing experience. And having both come off the same programme, it makes a lot of business sense.

Not to mention the fact that Virgo has been calling his rival out for several years. But sadly for the Birmingham boxer, the risk vs reward ratio might fall short of tickling Fury’s fancy.

5) Viddal Riley

While financially, it would make a great deal of sense for Fury to remain in the world he’s in, the 24-year-old claims he has ambitions of fighting for world titles. Therefore, there’s not a better opponent to square off against than Viddal Riley.

With a top-level amateur career and YouTube clout to match, the fight would not just help the Mancunian in his journey to the top of the sport, but would also make for a lucrative payday.

However, when asked in the past, Fury has shown little desire to get in the squared circle with Riley, thus indicating that his time in influencer boxing is a long way from done.
