Tony Ferguson launches attack on McGregor, Khabib and Diaz

UFC lightweight Tony Ferguson has launched an attack on Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Nate Diaz.

It’s no secret that ‘El Cucuy’ is one of the most eccentric UFC figures of all time. From his performances inside the cage to his personality out of it, fans are never short on entertainment when it comes to Ferguson.

“Nathan’s my b*tch”

The former interim lightweight champion is set to compete once again at UFC 262 when he faces Beneil Dariush. Many believe this to be a must-win fight for Ferguson in the wake of consecutive defeats against Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira last year.

Alas, despite his many setbacks, Ferguson isn’t going to ride off into the sunset just yet. The 37-year-old still believes he has a lot of gas left in the tank, and he’ll hope to show that against Dariush on May 15.

Over the years we’ve all seen Tony engage in debates and feuds with many fighters. Some seemed to rub him the wrong way with their own words, whereas others were just future opponents.

In his latest Twitter ‘rant’, Tony took aim at three men in particular – McGregor, Khabib and Nate Diaz.

“Nathan” refers to Nate Diaz, “McNuggets” is Conor McGregor and “Fathead” is Khabib with his manager, Ali Abdelaziz, also being mentioned.

The unconventional methods of Tony Ferguson will always have a special place in MMA folklore. Despite that, though, some are concerned about where his career could be heading right now.

The Gaethje loss was brutal last May but the Oliveira loss seemed to showcase a real drop off in quality from the former interim champ. Others may disagree but in a division like lightweight, it can be easy to age overnight given how many killers are in the top 15 alone.

Ferguson will have no fear whatsoever when marching into battle against Dariush – and if he wins, perhaps one more title run could be on the cards.
