Triple H reportedly set to stay ‘aggressive’ with key WWE change

Triple H is reportedly set to stay ‘aggressive’ in his new role as head of WWE creative, according to new reports.

‘The Game’ has already made several significant changes in WWE since taking over the role from Bruce Prichard in July. He has brought back former NXT star Dakota Kai and promoted Iyo Sky to the main roster. They are part of a new stable alongside the returning Bayley, who made her comeback at SummerSlam after 13 months out injured.

There have also been renewed pushes for former NXT Champions Tommaso Ciampa and Shayna Baszler. Ciampa will face Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship next week on Raw. Meanwhile, Baszler won a Gauntlet Match on the recent edition of SmackDown. She has earned the right to take on Liv Morgan for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Clash of the Castle on September 3.

Later in the latest SmackDown episode, there were two more huge returns. Another former NXT Champion, Karrion Kross, made his return to WWE to attack Drew McIntyre. He was joined by Scarlett, who placed an hourglass in the ring in front of Undisputed Champion, Roman Reigns.

Fans have noticed that Triple H has acted quickly to create new stars, and enhance the rosters of both Raw and SmackDown. They are excited to see what comes next – and it doesn’t look like ‘The Game’ will stop with his changes anytime soon.

Triple H reportedly set to stay ‘aggressive’ in WWE

Kross’s return came as a surprise to WWE fans, as it was only earlier on Friday that it was reported by Fightful Select that he was in discussions to come back to the company.

However, the same source later revealed that the deal to bring back Kross and Scarlett was done relatively quickly.

This was similar to the case of Dakota Kai, who confirmed that she rejoined WWE at ‘the last minute’ before her on-screen return at SummerSlam.

She told WWE’s ‘The Bump’: “Honestly, it still feels like a whirlwind to me, with everything that happened. It all happened so last minute, too. So to be talking with you guys right now is insane to me. Everything that’s happened since Saturday has been insane.”

Furthermore, Fightful Select (as per WrestlingNews) also claims that Triple H will remain ‘aggressive’ regarding roster changes. Precisely what this means is unclear, but he is reportedly considering the returns of other former WWE Superstars. He has already had meetings with certain talent ahead of further changes.

It is also possible that Triple H promotes talent from NXT 2.0, with the likes of Bron Breakker, Mandy Rose and Carmelo Hayes, as well as several others, all now in a position where they could prosper on the main roster.

As confirmed on SmackDown, a Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament is also on the horizon. With very few active female tag teams on either of the two main brands, it will be interesting to see how Triple H fills the tournament slots.
