Tyron Woodley’s mum responds after on-camera row with Jake Paul’s teammate

Tyron Woodley’s mother Deborah has given her side of the story after she was involved in an altercation with Jake Paul’s team.

Deborah Woodley is known within the mixed martial arts community for being one of the sweetest, kindest individuals to ever be associated with the sport. Her undying support for Tyron has been on full display many times with her warm nature being showcased in previous interactions with Kamaru Usman and Darren Till after both men fought her son.

A strange event with an even stranger build-up

She was by the side of Tyron Woodley again during yesterday’s pre-fight press conference for his bout against Jake Paul, but unfortunately, things took a dark turn when she was seemingly called out by J’Leon Love, a close friend of Paul’s.

During an interview with TheMacLife, Mrs Woodley provided fans with her version of events.

“I don’t know. He said he was doing his job, maybe that’s what he gets paid to do [cause friction].

“He made a statement [Jake Paul] saying ‘he talking to your mom’, I’d hate to think he would [condone it].”

After the reporter suggested that he thought he heard Love say “at least I’ve graduated school”, Deborah hit back pretty quickly.

“Tyron got a degree in agricultural business. Is he retarded?”

Woodley will try and settle the score with Jake Paul on Sunday night when the two meet in an eight-round boxing match in Cleveland.
