Tyson Fury has doubled down on his pursuit of Deontay Wilder as the countdown to their trilogy fight continues.
The two rivals have already squared off twice before in December 2018 and then just over a year later in February 2020, and while the first bout was scored as a draw, the second served as an emphatic statement from “The Gypsy King” as he defeated Wilder via TKO.
The third fight had been scheduled to take place towards the end of July but due to a COVID-19 outbreak within Fury’s camp, the contest was postponed until later in the year.
Will Fury get complacent?
It’s pretty clear for all to see that these two gentlemen don’t particularly like each other and that’s not going to change anytime soon. Wilder has a point to prove after the excuses he made after the rematch whereas Fury just wants to finally put the nail in the coffin of this rivalry before moving on to face Anthony Joshua in a British superfight.
In a recent video posted to social media, Tyson continued his verbal onslaught towards Wilder as the watching world enjoy his exploits.
“Another morning in the gym. I’m coming for the big dosser, the big useless dosser, the excuse maker. The big man, you big sausage. You big s***house,” Fury said.
Some would argue that Fury has absolutely nothing left to prove with regards to the Wilder rivalry but you just never know what could happen in this boxing game. “The Bronze Bomber” wants to gain a measure of revenge and vault himself back towards the top of the heavyweight ranks – and as we all know, it only takes one punch for him to get the job done.
Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury 3 is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 9.
