WWE 2K may have produced an undeniable triumph with WWE 2K26, but there were still some ‘concerns’ that the video game developer has sought to address with a new update.
2K26 walked down the aisle worldwide this past Friday, loudly proclaiming itself worthy of consideration for ‘Best In The World’ honours. But, not content with delivering an all timer of an addition to their franchise, WWE 2K are already improving their latest champion.
One of the new additions to the WWE 2K franchise, Ringside Pass, was introduced to much fanfare among early players of the game, last week. Such is the popularity of the new feature, it was being heavily hyped ahead of 2K26’s regular release after a flurry of positive reviews.

But with any new feature can sometimes come a few rough edges that need sanding down. And 2K moved swiftly to alleviate concerns they thought gamers may have with the new addition to the franchise.

Ahead of the game’s wider general release this week, 2K dropped an early patch, 1.04, which includes, as per 2K:
- Custom Matches will now award RXP.
- RXP earn rates for matches increased by 20%
- Match Complete: 25 (current) > 30
- Match Win Bonus: 85 (current) > 105
- Minimum match time requirement added for Match Win RXP rewards
- If a match is completed faster than 60 seconds, players will receive completion RXP, but not additional win bonuses. We know you’re enjoying making Eric Bischoff tap out but let’s give poor “Eazy E” a breather.
Additionally, 2K added in a statement, “Overall, we hope these changes support a wider variety of match types and play styles and help keep the experience fun and rewarding for everyone.”
Early access players also received a bonus locker code for for 32,500 VC as an added thank you.

Legends, Newcomers and Luchadores Arrive in WWE 2K26

- Stability and Performance improvements
- Addressed reported concerns over earnable RXP
- Addressed reported concerns over Game Pass subscriptions being required to access The Island and MyFaction
- Addressed reported concerns over 2K account linking occasionally not working
- Addressed reported concerns with Dominik reward mask
- Addressed reported concerns of various attacks not working as intended

- Addressed reported concerns over performance issues when playing The Island
Ringside Pass features Downloadable Content packs featuring a plethora of WWE legends, Hall of Famers, newcomers, luchadores from AAA in Mexico and celebrities, such as; The Hardy Boyz, Danhausen, Royce Keys, Torrie Wilson, El Hijo del Vikingo, Brie Bella, Kelly Kelly, Psycho Clown, Mr.Iguana, Demolition, Brian Pillman, Bam Bam Bigelow and the Natural Disasters.
While these new updates went live on PS5, Xbox Series X, and Steam this week, Nintendo Switch 2 updates will be live on March 30th.
