AEW Fight Forever video game gets official release date

After an almost endless wait, we finally know when AEW Fight Forever will hit our shelves.

In an incredible run for the promotion, off the back of the announcement of AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in London, UK, Tony Khan is undeniably giving us what we all want.

With fans chomping at the bit to take control of wrestling heroes Chris Jericho, CM Punk and Christian Cage, the latest news is likely to send their excitement through the roof.

On May 22, the company took to social media to release a new trailer, showcasing, vice president, Kenny Omega.

He said: “Thank you so much for your patience and being awesome fans.”

The retro-looking game promises to provide AEW lovers with endless hours of fun.

After all, who wouldn’t want to pit the likes of Bryan Danielson and Samoa Joe in titanic battles for the ages?

What is the release date for AEW Fight Forever?

The game will arrive on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC on June 29.

Meaning in just over a month’s time, wrestling enthusiasts can create their own characters and get engrossed in an engaging career mode. Thus giving them a chance to work their way towards becoming AEW champions in their own right.

After some confusion over the release of the game, THQ is delighted that it’s finally here.

In a preview, IGN said: “[Our] impression of AEW Fight Forever is that it is exactly what it looks like: A throwback to what many view as the Golden Age of wrestling games.”
