AJ Styles and The Undertaker are undeniably two of the most talented wrestlers to have ever graced the sport.

And while they delivered something truly spectacular when they finally squared off on the grandest stage of them all, ‘The Phenomenal One’ just wishes their clash had come a little sooner.

In an exclusive interview with Sporf, the 49-year-old explained: “It was definitely different. It was something we didn’t know was going to happen until it did. Getting the Bone Yard match built to look like the match that it looked like was pretty unbelievable. Man, to have the match with The Undertaker, his last match, I wish we could’ve done it earlier. Him and I, there is something about the timing we had together, it was a recipe for a great match, we just got to do it in a cinematic way.”

While Styles has fans all over the US, the WWE Universe extends across the globe, with UK enthusiasts having supported the legend throughout his career.

Having won his second world title against Jinder Mahal in Manchester, the love goes both ways, with the icon harbouring a deep appreciation for what our crowds bring to the table.

And with the Road to Royal Rumble tour coming to UK shores, the American is extremely excited for what’s ahead.

He enthused: “It’s going to be unbelievable. You never know what’s going to happen. You never know who’s going to turn up, not saying I will, but you never know.”
