On a wild night out in Hong Kong during an England trip ahead of Euro 1996, Paul Gascoigne created a moment of sporting history. In a turn of events that sent the media into a frenzy, the popular player visited a nightclub, where he sat in a dentist’s chair and proceeded to drink whatever beverage was poured into his mouth.
Throughout his entire career, Alan Shearer didn’t witness anything wilder.
In an exclusive interview with Sporf, he laughed: “I’ve had loads of crazy stories, one crazy name is ‘Gazza’, a lot of them will be around him, and some of the stories at Euro 96 and before that. Of course, we all remember what happened with Gazza and the dentist’s chair, so that’s one of the craziest ones.”
