Amir Khan has issued his response to Conor Benn calling him out for a future fight.
Khan, 34, hasn’t fought professionally since beating Billy Dib back in July 2019. Ever since then he’s been linked to a series of bouts, most notably against rival Kell Brook.
On the flip side you’ve got Conor Benn – the son of iconic British boxer Nigel Benn. Conor took his pro record to 18-0 over the weekend with an emphatic TKO win over Samuel Vargas and while many expected him to win, few thought he’d do so in such a quick and decisive manner.
Khan laughs off Benn
After the fight, Benn officially called out Khan for what would be an enticing showdown.
“Give me a proper test,” Benn told Sky Sports. “Give me Amir Khan. I know he’s too busy on reality shows and all that. But listen, if he wants it, he can get it.”
Benn is referring to the Meet the Khans: Big in Bolton reality TV show that was recently released in addition to a previous outing on I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here.
Khan responded to the jibe from Benn in a short & sweet post on social media.
Conor well done. Great kid, wish him the best.

At his age I was a world champ.
Maybe if he had some belts that fight would make sense but he’s got a long way to go yet ?? ?
Whereas Benn is just beginning his rise up through the boxing ranks, Amir Khan has been there and done it all.
From winning world titles to fighting Canelo Alvarez, it’s safe to say Khan is one of the most recognisable names of his generation in British boxing. Sure, there have been setbacks along the way, but such is the life of a combat sports star.
Conor Benn knows what he’s doing and knows the attention that comes with fighting someone of Khan’s stature.
If he gets the fight and wins, there’s no telling what it could do for his own boxing journey.
