Bad Bunny Linked With Huge WrestleMania Match After Super Bowl Moment

Bad Bunny had the eyes of the world on him during Super Bowl 60.

The multi-Grammy Award winner headlined the half-time show at Levi’s Stadium, on Sunday night.

But even before anyone had taken to the field in San Francisco, Bunny was being linked with another huge appearance.

Benito being positioned as the history-making half-time act has proven to be a hugely divisive decision in America.

Bunny, who took home three awards at last week’s Grammys, including Album of the Year, is the first performer to deliver a half-time set entirely in Spanish at the Super Bowl.

Logan Paul: Not a Fan of Bad Bunny

And while the crowd inside Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco were enraptured by Bunny’s beautifully uplifting performance, one attendee was brutally blunt about it, and this was before the game had even started.

Logan Paul who, like Bunny, has crossed over into the world of WWE, was apparently not impressed with the choice to have the ‘Tití Me Preguntó’ hit maker headline the half-time show. As was evidenced during his pre-game appearance.

As Paul made his way into Levi’s Stadium for the Fanatics pre-show event, he was asked if he was looking forward to Bunny’s show. Paul’s answer was emphatic.

Fox News Digital posed the question to the YouTuber-turned-WWE star, who simply answered, “No”.

Paul’s brother, Jake, also took to social media to voice his displeasure at Bunny being chosen to perform at the Super Bowl.

“Purposefully turning off the halftime show,” the younger Paul brother posted on X.

“Let’s rally together and show big corporations they can’t just do whatever they want without consequences (which equals viewership for them).

“You are their benefit. Realize you have power. Turn off this halftime. A fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America. I cannot support that.”

Being from Puerto Rico, Bad Bunny is an American citizen. The Paul brothers moved to Puerto Rico in 2021, with Logan announcing that part of the reason for the move was due to tax benefits.

Logan did, however, publicly disagree with his brother’s outburst, sharing his own post on X, saying, “I love my brother but I don’t agree with this. Puerto Ricans are Americans & I’m happy they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island.”

With Logan now pretty much a full-time WWE star, he will no doubt have a major match planned at the company’s upcoming WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, in April. The older Paul brother has performed at the last four WrestleManias, taking on the likes of Rey and Dominik Mysterio, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens and AJ Styles along the way.

Bunny, meanwhile, has performed at one, WrestleMania 37. The Grammy winning artist also competed in the men’s 2021 Royal Rumble match. And, most memorably, Backlash 2023, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Are Bad Bunny and Logan Paul on the Road to WrestleMania?

Benito has hailed himself as the greatest celebrity wrestler of all time.

He has been heavily involved with WWE ever since his relationship with the company started in 2020. He notably released a song named after two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, in which Booker himself featured in the video.

Equally, Paul has proven extremely impressive in many of his outings inside the squared circle, winning the United States Title in 2023.

The YouTube influencer is currently part of heel faction The Vision, alongside Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Austin Theory and Paul Heyman.

With Bunny being a major babyface (good guy) during his WWE appearances, there is now feverish discussion abound on social media that he and Paul could be on a collision course for WrestleMania 42.

As soon as Paul delivered his pre-game verdict on Bunny, the rumours began flying. Of course, it must be clarified at this time that these are just rumours and there have been no reports to signify the pair are due to face each other at Allegiant Stadium in mid-April.

Bunny has a substantial gap in the dates for his current tour around WrestleMania 42 in mid-April. The ‘Monaco’ superstar has also expressed a desire to return to WWE several times. So the stars do feel like they are aligning for Benito to step back into the squared circle.

Another rumoured opponent for Bunny has been WWE Intercontinental Champion, Dominik Mysterio.

The pair have history, too. Bunny interfered in ‘Dirty Dom’s’ match with his WWE Hall of Fame father, Rey Mysterio, at WrestleMania 39, in Los Angeles.

Rey would go onto defeat Dom and celebrate with Bunny. This would in turn lead to Bunny feuding with Dom and The Judgement Day.

Aligning with Mysterio’s Latino World Order, Benito triumphed over former Judgement Day member, and fellow Boricua, Damian Priest, in a San Juan Streetfight at Backlash 2003, in the Puerto Rican capital.

Whatever ends up happening with Bunny and WWE, the eyes of the world will be on him even more after an electric, era defining performance at Super Bowl 60.
