Botafogo’s new Kappa away shirt is a work of art

Alright, you got us, we didn’t know too much about Campeonato Brasileiro Serie B side Botafogo before today, but they might be our favourite team now.

That’s because they’ve teamed up with Kappa to release their 21/22 away shirt and my goodness it’s an absolute beauty.

A no-nonsense combination of black with white trim, that delightful lone star crest works breathtakingly well when plastered against the simplistic design.

On closer inspection, there’s a subtle all-over patten throughout the whole of the shirt, which shimmers through more depending on which angle you look at it from.

The kit pays homage to the one of the greatest moments in club’s history, when they won the Serie A title back in 1995.

“Since the beginning of our partnership, it’s undeniable the reach and good receptivity that the products had with the fans,” explained André Giglio, Director of Kappa in Brazil. (via Soccerbible)

“We are very grateful to be part of this process and feel closely the joy of the fans. The shirt makes mention of the [1995 season], as well as the collar, and I believe that the fans of Fogão will immediately notice this reference.”

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like you can bag it anywhere in the UK as of yet, it is up for sale on the club’s website now though.
