Bruno Fernandes reveals how he crafted his unique penalty kick

Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has revealed how he came up with his jumping penalty technique.

Ever since arriving at Old Trafford it’s seemed as if Bruno Fernandes has served as the missing puzzle piece. From his set piece work all the way through to his overall play, the Portuguese star continues to impress both United fans and neutrals – all of whom can’t help but admit how helpful he’s been for the Red Devils.

The art behind “Penandes”

One of the most notable attributes he possesses is the ability to slot the ball into the back of the net from 12 yards out. Regardless of the stakes or who may be in goal, Fernandes hits his mark more often than not.

During a recent interview with MOTDx, Bruno explained how his unique style came to fruition back in the day.

“I usually shoot in a different way but when I was at Sampdoria, there was one coach who came to me and said to me at the time: ‘You should try this!’”

“Because in the past, there was some player who was playing for Sampdoria who would normally do that jump.

“I started training with that and it comes to be the best way to take the penalty.”

Whether any of us like it or not Bruno Fernandes is a force to be reckoned with, and that trend looks set to continue for the remainder of the season and beyond.

The big question now is whether or not the 27-year-old remains on penalty duty as Cristiano Ronaldo prepares to make his second debut for United this weekend.
