After crafting a legendary legacy, Cesc Fabregas will move to Serie B to enjoy the twilight of his footballing career in paradise.
During his prime, the Spaniard undoubtedly solidified himself as one of the greatest midfielders of our generation. He rose to prominence at Arsenal, where he wowed supporters with his exceptional vision and creativity, not to mention his incredible footballing IQ.
He helped guide the side to an FA Cup victory before moving back to Barcelona. During his spell at the Nou Camp, he gelled into the side and often utilised his exquisite passing to find the likes of Lionel Messi up top. His performances led to a La Liga and Club World Cup victory.
After his time in his homeland came to an end, he moved to Chelsea before ultimately making a move to Monaco. But after making just six appearances last season, it looked like his journey had come to an end. However, it looks like he’s secured an incredible deal.
Cesc Fabregas set for Serie B transfer
According to Gianluca DiMarzio, the 35-year-old will move to the Italian second division club Como on a two-year contract. Located on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, Fabregas will live in a stunning area surrounded by natural beauty.
While taking in the views, he’ll help the side seak promotion to the Serie A, and the fans fully respect his decision. They’ve taken to Reddit to voice their opinions on the latest chapter of the legend’s career.

Update: Fabregas becomes part-owner of the Italian club
Fabregas has completed his move to Como, becoming part-owner of the club.
Another former Chelsea legend, Dennis Wise, is the chief executive of the Italian team and is understood to have played a major role in selling the project to Fabregas.
As quoted by the Daily Mail, Fabregas spoke about the move: “It is an honour and a pleasure to join Como 1907,’ Fabregas said. ‘I have been extremely fortunate that my career has allowed me to play at the most wonderful clubs. Como is no exception. After lengthy talks with Mirwan, Dennis and Charlie, they explained in detail one of the most exciting and ambitious projects in football.
“This is why I am looking to build a long-term future here not just on the pitch but also off it too. I believed in the vision from the first moment, and I have decided to invest personally to be part of the bigger picture.
“I cannot wait to get out on the pitch and play in front of the fans in such a beautiful setting. The tradition, infrastructure and desire that the owners have to take this club to the next level is inspiring. I cannot wait to start.”
