While he’s currently embroiled in a rivalry with Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes still concedes that his countryman is a truly exceptional competitor.

In an exclusive interview with Sporf, he conceded: “Arn Anderson used to refer to it as this ‘Golden Circle’ of wrestlers. I always struggle with GOATS and a Mount Rushmore because there are so many years of equity, and I love the game, so I’m always watching it. He’s in that golden circle, that you could count on one hand. It’s people like John Cena; you know when you’re in with someone who has not only had a career and a legacy that is amazing but is always capable of greatness on any given night.

“I think the unpredictable nature of the RKO out of nowhere — that’s the whole bit. One of the most unpredictable things about Randy — any given night, he could be the best he ever was, and you just have to hope you’re better than him. And also, it’s kind of a downer, because the last thing you wanna do is wrestle the guys you’ve loved and revered, and who taught you and be the one who says, ‘It’s gotta be me’, but I appreciate that pressure.”
