Conor McGregor shows off horrendous scars from Poirier defeat

Conor McGregor has shown off the scars he sustained as a result of his UFC 264 defeat to Dustin Poirier this past summer.

It’s been just over two months now since McGregor went toe to toe with Poirier in their highly anticipated trilogy fight in Las Vegas. With the world watching, “The Diamond” managed to come away with his second straight win over “The Notorious” – with this one coming via doctor stoppage after McGregor suffered a broken leg at the end of the first round.

It’s going to be a long road for McGregor to get back into the octagon where he hopes to take on Poirier for a fourth, and surely final, time. Before that, though, the Irishman wants to take all of his fans along for the ride as his recovery continues, and that includes showing glimpses of the scars he suffered as a direct consequence of the leg break.

When will Conor return?

Through a piece by the Mirror, you can see that it’s likely McGregor will be reminded of that fateful night for many years to come thanks to the excellent work done in surgery to ensure he could begin the healing process.

Some have often wondered whether or not there’s even a need for Conor McGregor to come back considering how much money he’s making from some of his other ventures, but we all know this is personal. Whether it’s Poirier, Oliveira or Diaz, he wants to remind the world of who he is and what he’s been able to achieve in mixed martial arts.
