Cristiano Ronaldo Jr shows he’s mastered the iconic ‘chop’ technique

A recent video of Cristiano Ronaldo Jr performing his dad’s infamous chop has fans worldwide on the edge of their seats.

The 11-year-old, who’s currently showcasing his skills in the Manchester United academy, appears to have all of his father’s flare and then some.

Supporters hope and pray that the youngster can go on to set old Trafford alight just like his old man has throughout the years.

But while it’s too early to tell just how good the prospect will turn out to be, the signs look incredibly positive so far. During a training session, he got fans positively buzzing with his amazing tricks and skills.

A video has emerged of the young star looking a million dollars while honing his craft at United’s facilities. The legend’s son passes the ball against the wall before exploding forward with a furious turn of pace.

He then completed a ‘step over’, which was followed by the chop. The 11-year-old executed the move perfectly before smashing the ball into the top of the net.

In typical Ronaldo fashion, he removed his shirt and celebrated to the camera. Of course, the impressive clip prompted a massive response from the fans who took to social media to give their verdict.

One said: “‘He has the same style as his father, lol even the cut he gave there.”

While another added: “This boy reminds you of someone, doesn’t he?”

The move, which has become so popular in recent years, was popularised by the youngster’s father. Ronaldo captured the imagination of fans across the globe with his ability to leave defenders chasing shadows with his innate ability to perform the move to perfection. It’s helped make him so entertaining early in his career.

But it looks like his son could inherit the skill when he inevitably takes the professional game by storm.
