A Cristiano Ronaldo superfan has gone viral after failing to get his big moment with the Portuguese star yesterday.
CR7 is finally back with Manchester United after 12 years away and while some are just happy to see him in that famous red shirt again, others will do just about anything to meet their hero.
Ali Masood is an adoring supporter of Cristiano Ronaldo to the point where he’s even gotten pictures with members of his family before. On Wednesday, with Ronaldo returning to Carrington for training with the first team before the game against Newcastle, Masood was hoping to catch a glimpse of Cristiano and perhaps even get a photo with him.
Once in a lifetime?
“I’m gonna see Ronaldo. I want to take a selfie with him. He’s an amazing guy. I think he’s going to make it in the Premier League this year.” he said to Sky Sports.
“I’m going to get my photograph today, definitely!”
He added: “I came all the way from Blackburn. I’ve been here since six in the morning. I got a taxi.”
Unfortunately Masood wasn’t quite able to make it happen with Ronaldo driving straight past him and the cameras en-route to training.
Alas, that hasn’t stopped the masses from flooding Ronaldo with messages to try and get the 36-year-old to give Ali his big moment in the sunshine.
Regardless of whether he manages to achieve his goal or not, we’re pretty sure Mr. Masood will be one of the first people there to celebrate if Ronaldo can find the back of the net against the Magpies on Saturday.
