While the world doubted him, David Kozma remained confident, knowing he had the secret ingredient to defeat Alex Lohore in an epic encounter at Oktagon MMA 43.
Since its inception, the European promotional powerhouse has strived to take MMA to new heights. And their latest project has captured the imagination of fight fans around the globe.
The Tipsport Gamechanger, often referred to as ‘The Champions League of MMA’, pits the best against the best, with a whopping €1,000,000 on the line.
Positively salivating at the prospect of the prize money, Kozma entered the tournament as one of the favourites.
Having solidified his legacy as a true Oktagon icon through his legendary championship reign in the welterweight division, most suspected he’d cruise past Łukasz Siwiec in the opening round of the competition.
But in a moment of near disaster, he nearly came unstuck.
With the final bell rapidly approaching, Kozma found himself in a deep submission. However, while his pink hair gives the impression he might lack courage, to his core, he bleeds the red, white and blue of the Czech flag, and he wasn’t about to let his fans in Ostrava down.
In a testament to his ferocious fighting spirit, he survived, but a much tougher proposition awaited him in the next round.
Wearing his crown proudly atop his head, ‘Da Killa King’ possessed a great deal of confidence going into the collision.
Having teamed up with GB Top Team, he looked sensational against Samuel Krištofič, picking up an impressive victory.
But with an army of 20,000 screaming supporters behind him at the O2 Arena in Prague, ‘The Pink Panther’ simply wasn’t willing to lie-down.

Utilising his sublime grappling and pinpoint striking, the Czech star produced a stunning showing, taking his man down and rocking him at will.
Consequently, he’s advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament, proving he still has the minerals to win the whole thing.
At the post-fight press conference, he spoke to SPORF about why he dismissed what the doubters had to say.
He beamed: “Lohore showed that he has some good skills, like when he fought Krištofič, whereas, I’ve had losses, so that’s why people tend to underestimate me. But I knew that I could win this fight.
“My preparation was very smooth. I didn’t sustain any injuries in training. To sum it up, I was sure I could beat him.”
