Showcasing outrageous flare and skills in abundance, Didier Drogba has undeniably solidified himself as one of the best players in Premier League history, and to celebrate his remarkable legacy, we’re looking back at the top five goals of his astounding career.
At the peak of his powers, the Ivory Coast international struck fear into the hearts of every defender he came up against. Utilising his footballing IQ and fearsome aura, he’d leave them in the dust before inevitably firing the ball into the back of the net.
Therefore, unsurprisingly, he enjoyed his fair share of epic moments during his spell at Chelsea, including a Champions League-winning penalty kick. But while that epic finish will live long in the memory, we’re having a look at the goals that took the purists aback and forced them to stand up and clap.

5) Didier Drogba vs Arsenal (2009)
The iconic forward always popped up at the right place at the right time, and during a match against Arsenal, he exhibited that quality in abundance.
Before the whistle blew for halftime, Ashley Cole delivered a delicious ball into the box, which was met by the ever-opportunistic Drogba.
The striker put the ball in the top corner, leaving a helpless Manuel Almunia stranded. However, while the goal was impressive, it wasn’t even the most impressive thing he did in the match. But more on that later.
4) Didier Drogba vs Bolton (2011)
Playing ‘The Blues’ is never the easiest of tasks, especially when their star man was on form. And on this occasion, In a stunning turn of events, from 30 yards out, he thumped it past Jussi Albert Jääskeläinen.
Later on in the fixture, Chelsea found themselves 3-0 up with very little time left on the clock; Drogba didn’t need to rub salt into the wounds. But in typical fashion, he decided to do it anyway and bagged another.
3) Didier Drogbas vs Arsenal (2009)
Remember that moment that I was telling you about earlier? Well, this is it.
When the dynamic striker stepped up to take his free kick from over 30 yards out, few gave him a chance of actually burying it. Yet somehow, he did.
The ball flew into the back of the net, rendering both sets of supporters stunned.
2) Didier Drogba vs Liverpool (2006)
When games stand all square, sometimes it takes something special to break the deadlock — and Drogba was certainly special.
In the 42nd minute, the Ivorian shrugged off Jamie Carragher, executed a perfect spin and hit a picture-perfect volley from 20 yards out.

And bagging the number one spot is none other than Drogba’s wonder goal against ‘The Toffees’. After going 2-1 down, Chelsea levelled the fixture and swung the momentum in their favour.
The all-time great latched on to a misplaced header, controlling it with his chest, and hit yet another exquisite volley to secure his side the win.
The goal has stood the test of time as being one of the best in Premier League history.
