Eddie Hearn hilariously attempts Tony Bellew impression

Eddie Hearn and Tony Bellew have been close for a long time – and that seems to show in this hilarious impression Hearn does of the Evertonian.

Over the course of the last few years Eddie Hearn has turned into something of a cult figure within the boxing world and, by default, the “meme” universe. He’s been slowly but surely building himself up as one of the game’s most notable boxing promoters and that reputation certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed. In addition to his famed roster of fighters he’s also a well-known face in the media, which has benefitted many including Bellew.

Tony retired after his knockout loss to Oleksandr Usyk in late 2018 but has remained an important figure in boxing ever since then. Of course, “The Bomber” will always be known as one of the great cruiserweight/light heavyweights of his generation, but we tend to think his personality stretches him above many of his peers with regards to his overall legacy.

In the following video, Bellew and Hearn showcased just how close they still are with Hearn’s amusing impression playing a key role in the clip.

None of this is going to mean a whole lot to hardcore boxing fans who, understandably, want one thing and one thing only: to see Hearn’s client Anthony Joshua fight Tyson Fury in an era-defining super fight.

It’s been the showdown on everyone’s mind for longer than most of us can remember but there’s always been an element of red tape in the way. Now, Fury’s red tape is an upcoming trilogy match against Deontay Wilder, which has been delayed until later in the year as a result of a COVID-19 outbreak within Fury’s camp.

On the flip side you’ve got Joshua who will have something in common with Bellew once he takes on Oleksandr Usyk, this time at heavyweight.

The pair will clash on September 25 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
